I grew up taking naps on those hard, wooden pews churches were so fond of…which may be why I have back problems. My parents were Assemblies of God pastors in Oregon and then became missionaries to Malawi, Africa. I grew up in Malawi & Kenya from age 6 until I came back to the U.S. for college. Then I met a wonderful woman and we shared our faith (not as missionaries!) in China for 15 years. Our cross-cultural career ended in 2015. I have been on staff at Lake Stevens Assembly of God since 2016 (2017?). I do stuff.

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6:4-9
